Fool Me Once, But Watch This Twice (or more!) - A Netflix Review

https://cashwalklabs.moneple.com/tv_and_series_reviews/1718146

I've recently completed the series Fool Me Once on Netflix. I found it so addictive and hard to put down! Nights after work spent getting just enough sleep for the next day just so I could squeak in more minutes of this amazing show!

The show is based on the novel by Harlan Coben and adapted into a mini series on Netflix. The story follows a former military helicopter pilot widow, Maya, as she seeks to uncover the mysterious circumstances behind the death of her husband. As Maya digs for more answers, she ultimately finds herself in a revolving door of questions and conspiracy to uncover the dark past of all those involved.

One of the key choices that was made by the director, which lead to my aforementioned lack of sleep evenings, was they would insert critical plot points/teasers at the end of every episode brilliantly, so your curiousity was only peeked that much more to get onto the next episode before you were satisfied with the outcome!

I thought the portrayal and acting of the characters was superbly done! Each character had a unique dynamic about them and it showed the lengths that we all go to uncover the truth of the mysteries within our lives; regardless of age, gender, social class, etc.

The plot is brilliantly done, with twists and turns that you will never see coming! If you aren't on the constant edge of your seat, then you really aren't paying full attention to this series. This is not the kind of show that you can miss even a second of if you want to understand what's really going on. It really begs the question, do you truly know everything about the people in your life?

I would be shocked to not see this series be nominated for a vast amount of awards and I even want to read the book now to see what plot points or general sections had to be cut for time's sake in the series!

I can't recommend this series enough! If you find yourself on the fence about whether to start this show or not, do it!

But don't be fooled by thinking you can put it down once you've begun! 😉
