What's your favorite Star Trek series and why?

 

 Mine is DS9, mostly because I like that it has long, overarching storylines. Gul Dukat is also just... the most delicious villain of all time. The way they keep dangling redemption in front of him and he's like "nah, I'm an irredeemable genocidal fascist, thank you" and then the way they treat him at the end ๐Ÿ˜‰  pure poetry.

"The most delicious villain" is one of the most apt descriptions for Gul Dukat. I did not like the way he went out: I thought it was too cartoonish, but Gul Dukat and Kai Winn were a great couple to fare against each other.

I like TOS and the controversial Enterprise. But what I have on my screen 24/7 is actually VOY. It makes me long for home, wherever it may be.

      Hahaha that cartoonish end was what killed me! It was sooooo disrespectful to the character that it was a clear statement by the showrunners - F this mofo๐Ÿคฃ Even Kai Winn, also top-tier villain, got a better treatment because she was at least *sincere* in her convictions.ย

I completely agree with you. I thought DS9 had a lot more potential than the way it ended.

And when Jadzia Dax died, it broke my heart. Not that I did not like Ezra Dax, but I thought that Jadzia Dax w/ Wolfe could offer many more glorious stories.

      Aww yeah Lower Decks! I keep forgetting about that one! I think it's just so meta and funny that I think of it as a series of inside jokes more than its own show lol
