I have only watched the first episode, bit so far it's pretty decent. 

 

I saw the movie with Richard Chamberlain a long time ago, and read the book a long time before that. I think this is shaping up to be a great version of the story.

      I heard that they were planning another season, but unless they were planning on being or in one of the other novels by James Clavell, I just don't see the point

      The new show is on Disney Plus. I'm not sure where to find the older movie.
