Hunting at roadside II #8

Grape Hyacinths (Muscari Neglectum) are perennial bulbous plants native to Eurasia. They produce spikes of dense, commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers.

The bulb contains a substance called comisic acid, which is said to act like saponin. Although poisonous, saponins are poorly absorbed by the human body and so most pass through without harm.
