I usually find wealthy people to be thr most ignorant. Specifically the ones that never started of poor- the ones that were born into wealth. They will say the most jaw dropping stupid thing and look at you crazy if you call them out on it. We were doing slavery in history class and a girl was reading the book with a shocked face and she turned to me and said," Did this really happen? Like, outside of the book?"
I said that yes, slaves where treated badly and she gasped. She then went onto explain that she thought that slavery had stopped thousands of years ago and wasn't too bad. I asked why she thought that she said it was because her life was ok.
