Back when we were devil's was a manga I picked up a couple years ago. It's about a boy that was a horrible bully losing all him memories and becoming a normal person. His past chases after him and seems inescapable. Faced with all the things he's done from a well adjusted person's viewpoint he's terrorised by what he was. If I recall correctly he allowed people to hurt him at some point as a way to deal with the guilt of hurting people.
