I'm a monitor for a transportation company for the disabled and yes, there are times, you form a connection with a client. I have one like that now and she is nonverbal. The second day I've been with her, she reached out and rest her hand on my arm. I extended my hand and she took it and held it all the way home. We will occasionally make eye contact. She does this almost daily. The eye contact is grtting longer. Today, as she held my hand. She did little squeezes, like a code. I responded back. And with her eyes, I could tell she felt safe
