I grew up with the 120/80 being a normal range but the last time I saw a medical professional the mentioned it can fluctuate a bit higher and lower and you'll still be in that 'normal' range.

From what I know, you have to eat less fatty and unhealthy food. Also, doing regular exercise will help prevent high blood pressure.

There are many things that we have control of in order to prevent high blood pressure. Eating healthy as in less meat, more fruits and vegetables, exercising, managing your stress, and avoid smoking and minimizing alcohol consumption. There is also the hereditary part of it but should focus on things you can control.
