I am curious if high blood pressure is the all encompassing name for the disease or if it's more of an umbrella term and there are other ways to further specify the degree to which one experiences high blood pressure.
In my mind, I feel as though there should be a high blood pressure category, a very high blood pressure category, and an extremely high blood pressure category. Within these categories, there would probably be respective numbers for systolic and diastolic pressures that would correlate with each category.
Does anybody know the answer to this? Is this a theory or something seen in medical practice?
Thanks! ☺️
