I always thought One Way or Another was dark and not at all subtle. Electric Avenue, I had no idea.

Part of the problem (well, my problem) is that I was pretty young when these songs were popular and it never occurred to me to try listen to the lyrics. So, when I finally did, I was pretty surprised.
