金融素养

你是怎么了解金钱的?我和一个朋友聊到信用卡的工作原理,听她讲她知道的和我学到的不一样,以及我们各自的学习方式,真的很有意思。

(M19C11) In my case, a lot of trial and error, but mainly through necessity. I got involved with investments and whatnot, so I became quite financially literate. It does not mean I practice what I learned. ha ha.

How did you learn, and what were the differences you learned?

You mean, when I was investing? I wouldn't call it scared but more like anxious. It's anticipation and excitement, not fear.
Based on your reply, I assume that you have not invested before. Investment is a gamble, but it is a safe gamble if, 1. you know about yourself, and 2. you can make decisions based on information and education. It's not something you learn as you go. It is something you study beforehand and learn to make acceptable mistakes.   Before you invest, I recommend you learn about yourself first. Know how far you are willing to go, draw the line, and discipline yourself to stop where you need to stop. Find a way to minimize the risk and your anxiety. And one day, you will not think about how much you are willing to lose. You will think about how much you can gain.
