REFER POINTS

So my friend put in my invite code and started using the app. I never got referral points and can someone tell me why hehasto get 5000 points instead of 3000 to get anything?? It's completely unfair as I talked up how easy it is to get points and everything but why recommend someone if the same doesn't apply to the person you refer???
