David Popovici at Paris Olympics 2024

I was waiting impatiently the Okympic Games to see what David Popovici will succeed in the swimming competition.

I was so nervous watching him although I knew he is a God of swimming!

He earned the gold medal for 200m and i loved to hear Romania's anthem, it was my favorite moment... because I always saw David so serious, so good, i never saw him so emotional as he was on the podium when the national anthem started. 

After that, he was competing again the next day in the morning and in the evening for the semifinal of 100m competition. I believe this schedule doesn't make sense, but what do I Know?

The next day he won the semifinal and the second day after he gained another olympic medal, bronze for 100 m.

He is now one of the most loved sportmen in Romania.
