Run with the Wind is a sports anime about a group of young men who want to win the Hakone Ekiden, a prestigious relay race. The anime follows Kurahara Kakeru, a boy who has trouble socializing and runs away from any situation. One night, he meets Kiyose Haiji, a university student who offers him help and invites him to live in the dormitory of the university they both attend, along with ten other students. But the situation changes when they realize that they were actually recruited to run in the Hakone Ekiden, the race that takes place on New Year's Day in Japan.

 

Run with the Wind shows us a group of boys who attend university and worry about their future careers. We see them grow and improve with each episode. It is a really moving series and it will keep us on the edge of our seats, without a doubt. We can find this series on Crunchyroll.

 

The anime is somewhat different from the rest of the genre. From the start, it is a hard series to recommend. Run with the Wind is about athletics and it explores the themes of friendship, teamwork, passion, and perseverance.
