My tips for beginners  to use bench press and get more benefits:

  1. Keep your feet flat to provide stability.
  2. keep your elbows at 45 degree to reduce strain on shoulder
  3. Lower the bar slowly and while going upwards keep your body stretched and tight
  4. Inhale before lowering the bar
  5. Exhale when you push the bar back up
  6. Always perform warmup to prepare muscles
