Before this challenge I was not aware that there are two differente types of bar squads. I read lots of about it. I used to do high bar squat on the gym.
The most differente between high bar vs low bar position is how the shoulders and torso are positioned.
High bar squat is better for training the quads. The high bar squat allows you to squat deeper and with more upright torso.
The low bar squat is more posterior it is better for training the glutes and erector spinae. Low bar position places the weight closer to the hips giving the ability to squat heavier weight.
If you want to build power and increase strength than the high bar squat might be best.
If you want to build the muscles challenge your balance and core than low bar squat might be for you.
