6. Macbook air vs pro

I need a laptop mainly for long hours of studying (10-15 hours in a stretch), then I'll be using it for work and college applications. I will only be doing basic editing, if at all. And then all the basic stuff like netflix, YouTube etc.

I've heard that you should get the pro if you plan on using it for longer hours because it has a fan. But does that apply if those long hours are put for basic studying?

I also prefer the bigger screen size but 16" is way out of budget. The difference between the m3 14" Pro 18GB and m3 15" Air 16GB is 200$ though. Can someone please shed more light on this?
