What are some things that cause high blood pressure?

For me I've noticed if I talk while I'm getting my blood pressure tested, it always makes it dangerously high. I don't know if it's cause I'm long winded and I'm not getting air when I'm getting tested, or if its normal. Usually they take it again and I just focus on my breathing and it comes out good.
