Review of Apera SX620 ph meter

I just started a new hobby - hydroponic gardening. When to start this type of gardening you have know what PH is of water you place into hydrophobic system . I tried using drops you add & look on color chart - not very accurate- the ph must be between 5.5 & 6.5 for the plants to be happy. The Apera SX620 ph tester comes with 7.0 calibration buffering solution to calibrate your ph meter. To increase accuracy of ph tester this kit also includes 4.0 & 10.0 calibrating buffer solutions. By completing a 3 point calibration- it increases accuracy of reading. So I started with distilled water & ph of distilled water is 7. Added my nutrients & then tested ph - it was 6.8 to reduce the ph you add ph down - retested ph was at 5.8 ph. So I started my lettuce seedlings.
