Netflix series: La casa de papel

La casa de papel (Money Heist) is a Spanish TV series distributed by Netflix. It recounts the development, from its conception to the execution, of an incredible criminal plan conceived by the Professor, Sergio Marquina (Alvaro Morte, The Red Pier), to rob the Madrid Mint. The Professor is the brilliant mind who decided to put into practice the plan conceived by his late father to carry out the most ambitious coup ever carried out in Spain, which consists of barricading himself inside the State Mint and from there printing an enormous quantity of money - 2.4 billion euros - untraceable. To achieve his goal, the Professor has carefully recruited a group of eight people to bring into the Mint, all with different and specific skills and nothing to lose.

The recruited criminals gather on an estate in the Toledo countryside to scrupulously study the plan and best prepare for the great undertaking. It is here that they get to know each other, discovering that for security reasons they cannot establish relationships that would compromise the plan and that they can only use fictitious city names: Tokyo, Silene Oliveira (Ursula Corberò); Berlin, Andrès de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso); Rio, Anibal Cortès (Miguel Herran); Nairobi, Agata Jimènez (Alba Flores); Helsinki, Yashin Dasayev (Darko Peric); Oslo, Dimitri Mostovòi (Roberto Garcia); Moscow, Augustín Ramos (Paco Tous); and Denver, Ricardo Ramos (Jamie Lorente). Everyone has a specific task for the success of the coup and it is essential to remain anonymous, which is why upon entering the Mint they wear red overalls and a Salvador Dalì mask.

On the other side of the barricade is the detective, an expert in bargaining for the release of hostages, Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño), a strong and determined woman who, however, has a difficult family situation behind her due to the violence of her ex-husband as well as colleague and the illness of his mother, who finds herself having to play a fundamental game of chess with the Professor. He, having remained outside the Mint to manage the plan, will try in every way to manipulate her and the entire police force.
