For this workout tip, I searched the Internet to support my post. 

The position of the barbell on the back determines the high and low bar squat. 

The position of the high bar is on the top of shoulder. 

The low bar is on the back across shoulder blade. 

The length of hip and knee should be noticed as shown in the image. 

The angle of the joint, the back, hip and knee should also be noted.

The angles of the high bar squat are seen in the image below. 

The angles of the low bar squat are a bit different as shown below. 

How much power each squat generates and injurries it causes should also be considered. In sum, however, the choice is only for the personal preference, and what your body feels.
