The main difference between high bar and low bar squats is which muscles are involved. The high bar squats involve mainly the quads. They are really great for strength building. The low bar squats involve more muscles, such as hamstrings, glutes and back as well. I prefer doing low bar squats, because they have a good influence on balance and core strength. They are part of my weekly workout routine.
