Growing a pineapple plant

If you twist off the leafy top of a pineapple fruit, you can plant it in soil and get a clone of the original plant. If you peel off the lowest leaves you can see baby roots already growing at the base. An easy houseplant to grow and if in a big enough pot may even produce fruit.
